The described "spider cells" were also observed in other reports (OMAR, 1969; TANIMOTO & OHTSUKI, 1995; KOLLY et al., 2004; JACOBSEN et al., 2010) and, this aspect occur after routine processing, which causes the loss of glycogen (TANIMOTO & OHTSUKI, 1995; RADI & METZ, 2009).

In the case presented here, considering the morphologic features, the lesion should also be differentiated from adult rhabdomyoma, which is composed of large cells with abundant eosinophilic or clear cytoplasm and scattered spider cells.
