glamor stock
A widely held stock that receives a considerable amount of favorable publicity in the financial press. Glamor stocks typically represent firms with strong earnings growth and bright futures. Glamor stocks, which tend to sell at relatively high price-earnings ratios, are found in most institutional portfolios.
