The power issue arises because the variation in the nonparametric CoVaR and MES estimators increases as the asymptotic tail dependence in stock returns strengthens.
[14], who have studied the problem of diffraction by 2D slender bodies, it was assumed that besides the usual asymptotic parameter k[rho], the geometrical characteristics of the body form another large parameter [LAMBDA] = [rho]/[[rho].sub.t], with which the asymptotic parameter may compete.
Remark 1: The GLR test statistic only uses the asymptotic covariance matrix under [H.sub.0], [[SIGMA].sub.mul,0], and it is unrelated to the asymptotic covariance matrix under [H.sub.1], [[summation].sub.mul,1].
According to [11], the curve a on the surface S is asymptotic if and only if the binormal B(s) of the curve a and the normal [eta](s, [t.sub.0]) of the surface S at any point on the curve a are parallel to each other.
However, the exact analysis is too complicated to render an insight on the impact of CCI and the correlation coefficient [rho]; the asymptotic outage probability is investigated at high SNR regime.
