Racial Discrimination

Deliberate or unintentional preferential or detrimental treatment toward persons of a given race. For example, a person may prefer to hire persons of race A or may be more likely to dismiss persons of race B. In many jurisdictions, racial discrimination is illegal in business settings, though the specific measures taken to prevent it have proven controversial. See also: Affirmative action.
