Midget (The Queen of the Blues) by Ray Stevens, which reached number two in 1971 - Dr Pritchard knows a woman with dwarfism who remembers being called Bridget The
Midget at school in the 1970s, and she says: "These sort of names, used in popular culture, filter into general society, where they are used as offensive terms towards people with dwarfism - so it is they who have to suffer the consequences."
