Material Naturalism
Material Naturalism
In Roman Catholic
social justice teaching, an all-encompassing term for the belief of political and
economic systems not based upon reverence for God. Examples of material naturalist systems include both
capitalism and communism. Catholic social justice teaching holds that material naturalism inevitably tends toward injustice of one sort or another.
