LUF

ISO 4217 code for the Luxembourgish franc. It was introduced in 1854 and remained in circulation until 2002, except for the period of German occupation during World War II. It was pegged to the Belgian franc at par for much of its history. It was replaced by the euro. See also: Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union.
