Imbert said the
IMF is assembling a team to visit Trinidad and Tobago but no date has been fixed as yet regarding the Article IV consultation.
According to sources, the
IMF team in Pakistan will visit the FBR subordinate institution as part of the agreement to review the implementation of its conditions.
It has approached the
IMF 21 times since its membership.
'It seems that a tsunami of inflation will emerge out of the
IMF bailout package,' said PPP's Senator Sherry Rehman and hoped that the 'tsunami' will not make the people slaves of the
IMF.
Pakistan has got 12
IMF bailout packages since the late 1980s, with the last one being in September 2013.
The
IMF mission chief highlighted the grave fiscal position of Pakistan and the privileges that various sectors enjoyed.
Uzbekistan became the first Central Asian country to invite
IMF experts to conduct an assessment of the country's budgetary policy transparency.
Prime Minister's Adviser on Finance, Hafeez Shaikh, Adviser on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi were in attendance during the all important meeting between the PM and
IMF chief.
For his part, Mr Zhang said
IMF was about to conclude its assessment of individual member countries and that it would share be the contents of Article IV on consultation with Botswana.
He added that the authorities at all levels are implementing structural reforms and economic policies within the program with the
IMF, including maintaining fiscal discipline, financial stability and improving the business climate.

IMF staff in most cases to a member country.
