TOKYO (Alliance News) - The US Department of Justice announced Monday that Japanese companies Canon Inc and Toshiba Corp have agreed to settle federal charges for violating the premerger notification and waiting period requirements of the
Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
The transaction is subject to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Georgia Public Service Commission approvals, antitrust review under the
Hart-Scott-Rodino Act and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in latter 2019.
