ISO 3166-3 code for Metropolitan France, which consists of all of France except for overseas departments, collectivities, and territories, as well as New Caledonia. All of France was re-designated with the code FR in 1997. ISO 3166-3 codes are used to indicate names of countries and territories that are no longer used.
