If you are a leader, it must be that you have certain intrinsic and
extrinsic value to the organization.
The distinction between intrinsic value and
extrinsic value is central to our argument (and it is explained in section 3).
Extrinsic values. The
extrinsic value orientation inclines an employee towards extrinsic rewards attainment.
In the turbo decoder, the current MAP decoder utilizes the
extrinsic value [L.sub.e] ([u.sub.k]) of the previous MAP decoder as a priori value [L.sub.a] ([u.sub.k]).
The
extrinsic value of a volume like this one is that it includes suggestive analysis in the best American transcendentalist tradition.
Examples of
extrinsic value statements from the PVCT include "increases salary" and "promotes recognition from peers."
It is argued that high level of compliance would give more intrinsic and
extrinsic value to the customers.
A summary economic analysis of the AMEDD's graduate program indicates that substantial net
extrinsic value and intrinsic value are generated by these programs individually and in the aggregate.
Note that sometimes what a product is "best" at is not directly related to the product's
extrinsic value. I recently bought a new car, and the dealer urged me to use them for my warranty service, not because they have the best service department in town, but because they have the best customer service.
Respondents were also asked to rate their importance level or
extrinsic value of 30 agricultural communications skill statements using a rated scale where 0 = "Not Important"; 1 = "Somewhat Not Important"; 2 = "Unsure"; 3 = "Somewhat Important"; 4 = "Important." Tables 4 and 5 show all of the statements rated by the respondents, ranked 1 to 30.
