Wall Street Week, which aired between 1970 and 2005. The index consisted of 10 indicators of analysts' personal views on the direction of the
market over the coming three months. The Elves Index was noted more for its use as a contrarian index; at least one analyst suggested one should do the opposite of what the Elves Index advised. The index was used between 1989 and 2001. See also:
