Direct Access Trading

A system on NASDAQ allowing the user to make trades without going through a broker. Direct access trading allows investors to make trades very quickly, which is important for day traders, who seek to make a profit from price movements that take place in a single trading day. Most investors do not use direct access trading because their investments do not depend on the speed of buying or selling a given security.
