Broadcast Advertising Adjacency

The time within a television, radio, or (increasingly) online broadcast set aside for commercials. For example, if a television show takes a commercial break half way through, the break is said to be adjacent to that show. Because viewers want to watch (or listen to) the remainder of the show, it is likely that they will watch (or listen to) the adjacent advertising break.
