Binational Secretariat
Binational Secretariat
An office charged with the enforcement of a
bilateral investment treaty or a
free trade agreement. A binational secretariat may have an office in the capital cities of both parties to the treaty. A binational secretariat is charged specifically with helping to resolve disputes resulting from the treaty.
