Beer v. United States
Beer v. United States
A U.S. case concerning judicial
pay. The Constitution of the United States prohibits the reduction of a judge's pay during the course of his/her tenure. Representatives of judges contend that
inflation effectively reduces their pay and have argued for the reinstatement of automatic
cost of living adjustments that were previously in place.
