Banque Francaise du Commerce Exterieur

A former bank in France providing financing and bonds to French exporters. It was structured as a joint stock company; its major shareholders were state-owned banks, and its director was appointed by the Finance Minister. As part of a privatization program, BFCE was sold to Credit National in 1996.
