Automatic Checkoff
Automatic Checkoff
A feature in some workplaces in which the
employer deducts
employees' union dues from their paychecks much as they would do for taxes or
insurance. Often, automatic checkoff occurs because of an agreement between the employer and
union representatives. It is also called compulsory checkoff.
