Aruban Florin

The currency of Aruba. This currency was introduced in 1986 upon Aruba's independence from Netherlands Antilles. The florin replaced the Netherlands Antilles guilder at a 1:1 ratio. Like the guilder, however, the florin is pegged to the U.S. dollar at a rate of 1.79 florins to 1 dollar; this peg is identical to the Netherlands Antilles guilder.
