Articles of Consolidation

A document outlining the basic functions of a company formed by the merger of two or more companies. Among other things, it states the new company's corporate structure and how many authorized shares (if any) there will be. It also states how its corporate governance and operations will work. Some jurisdictions require companies to file articles of consolidation after a merger.
