According to the TRS
appropriation request, the system plans to distribute more than $26 billion in retiree benefit and healthcare payments to more than 400,000 retirees and healthcare providers during the 2020-2021 biennium.
"Last year's advance
appropriation request for FY 2018 medical care remains woefully inadequate to meet the ever-increasing demand for services both inside and outside the VA health care system, a fact acknowledged by VA officials," the IBVSO said.
