Agreement of Customs Valuation

An agreement to create a framework to unify the way countries value imports for customs purposes. This agreement was intended to make international trade more predictable and therefore carry less risk. The Agreement was negotiated in the 1970s by members of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
