After-Hours Market Close

After-Hours Market Close

The final price of a security being traded in the after-hours market. The after-hours market close is generally seen as an indication of the opening price at the beginning of the following trading day. It is often expressed as a percentage increase or decrease from the closing price during the trading day. That is, if the share price at market close is $20 and the after-hours market close is $30, it is expressed as a 50% increase.
