ABC News/Money Magazine Consumer Comfort Index

ABC News/Money Magazine Consumer Comfort Index

A weekly survey on the perception of the national economy, the personal finance of the respondents, and the likelihood that respondents will continue to spend money. While the Index is published weekly, it contains responses gathered over a period of four weeks. The Index is not seasonally adjusted, but it breaks down responses by age, gender, income, education, employment, and region. Its value goes from -100 to +100; consistent declines may be a predictor for coming declines in consumer spending.
