ZIP Code Correction

A manual task or automated program that adds missing ZIP codes to lists of addresses. This is used in marketing and for other business purposes to ensure that all correspondence is delivered to the correct recipient. To accomplish ZIP code correction, one compares the ZIP codes in one's list to a database of valid ZIP codes.
