World Administrative Radio Conference
Also called WARC. A former periodic conference of the International Telecommunications Union at which member-delegates met to discuss changes to international regulations concerning radio broadcast. Conferences were held in Geneva. In 1993, the WARC became known as the World Radiocommunication Conference.

What complicates this endeavor is the United States' attempt to find frequencies identified by the ITU World Administrative Radio Conference (WRC-2000) last year: the 806-960 MHz band, the 1710-1885 MHz band and the 2500-2690 MHz band.
Despite the existence of an international conference--the World Administrative Radio Conference (WARC)--that metes out broad spectral bands for various uses, the allocation of spectrum to competing satellites has been left for countries to negotiate.
