Workout market Market indicating prices at which it is believed a security can be bought or sold within a reasonable length of time. Workout Market A prediction made by a market maker on a security's trading range. That is, the market maker predicts a workout market when he/she makes an estimate as to the trading range over a short period of time, such as over the course of a trading day. Workout markets are easier to predict when there are fewer potential buyers and sellers for the security. See also: Narrow market. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
