Wiki
An online project allowing any participant to comment, add, delete or change the product. A wiki is generally an online dictionary or encyclopedia. Wiki software has been developed to ease the editing process. It is an example of Web 2.0. The first wiki came online in 1994.

The first wiki software was developed in 1994 by Ward Cunningham and called WikiWikiWeb.
The first wikis were developed by Ward Cunningham, a programmer who created the WikiWikiWeb, a collaborative software guide, in 1995.
The term wiki also can refer to the collaborative software itself (wiki engine) that facilitates the operation of such a Web site, or to certain specific wiki sites, including the computer-science site (the original wiki) WikiWikiWeb and online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia.
