Weighted Ballot

After an oversubscription for a new issue, a ballot used to allot new shares in such a way that either those who have subscribed to larger or smaller portions of the issue receive a disproportionate amount. That is, the weighted ballot is used to allocate available shares in the new issue either to small investors or large investors.
