VUV
ISO 4217 code for the Vanuatu vatu. It was introduced when Vanuatu became independent in 1982, replacing the New Hebrides franc and the Australian dollar. Interestingly, it has no subdivisions; as a result, large transactions are sometimes quoted in "dollars," though the currency has no current relationship to the Australian dollar.
