(redirected from Up-Down Volume Ratios)

    0.01 sec.
Up/Down Volume Ratio
In technical analysis, the trading volume on a security on days when its price increases, divided by the trading volume on days when the price decreases. This indicates whether more investors are buying the security or selling it. A high ratio is a bullish signal, while a low ratio is considered bearish.

up/down volume ratio
A stock's aggregate trading volume during days when the price increases divided by the aggregate trading volume during days when the price declines. This technical tool attempts to provide guidance as to whether a stock is being accumulated or distributed. A high up/down volume ratio is considered a bullish indicator.
