United Nations Environment Programme

An organization created by the United Nations and charged with providing assistance to developing countries and others in developing guidelines for sustainable environmental policies. It also publishes reports on the state of the environment and has had a significant role in the discussion of climate change. See also: Kyoto Protocol.
