Uniform securities agent state law examination A test required in some states for registered representatives who are employees of member firms of the NASD or over-the-counter brokers.
Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination In many states, an exam one must pass to become a registered representative with FINRA, a designation that authorizes one to trade for the brokerage or other firm for which one works. It authorizes one to sell any security except commodity futures contracts. It is important to note that some states require the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination in addition to the Series 7. It is not an alternative to the Series 7.
