The two-character ISO 3166 country code for UNITED STATES MINOR OUTLYING ISLANDS.

UM

1. ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for the United States Minor Outlying Islands. This is the code used in international transactions to and from local bank accounts.

2. ISO 3166-2 geocode for the US Minor Outlying Islands. This is used as an international standard for shipping to the Islands. Each island has its own code with the prefix "UM." For example, the code for Baker Island is ISO 3166-2:UM-81.
