Uneconomic Growth Economic growth that reduces quality of life. It is sometimes difficult to determine what qualifies as uneconomic growth (some may argue that it is subjective). For example, one person may believe the advent of the Internet was positive because of the improved technology, business opportunities and other benefits it brought. However, another person may argue that the Internet has reduced people's connection to their own land and communities. One often considers environmental and social impacts when discussing uneconomic growth. See also: Degrowth. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
