An agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce that promotes U.S. exports. It conducts market research, introduces companies to buyers and conducts other services for American exporters. It charges a fee for many of these services. The Commercial Service also promotes American goods in foreign markets. It has offices in American embassies around the world to accomplish these activities.
