UNE-P
Unbundled Network Element-Platform. A phone service by which Baby Bells were required to allows competitors to use their networks. The UNE-P was intended to increase competition between Baby Bells and telecommunications start ups. It was authorized by the Telecommunications Act of 1996.

The Qatar-based IT services and solutions provider and the Qatar MICE Development Institute won the joint award for Best Green Product or Service Award for their collaboration on the environmentally-friendly UNEP Ozone Conference held in November 2008 which was hosted by the Qatar Ministry of Environment.
Linkages to the parent CMS unit and UNEP will be assured and maintained under the deal.
