Tyco International
A Swiss and American manufacturing conglomerate. Established in 1960, it initially operated primarily in semiconductor products and in research. It acquired more than 1,000 companies between the 1970s and 1990s, building itself into a health care, electronics and security company. These components separated into three companies in 2006. Tyco International took the security portion of its former operations. The company primarily sells security systems, CCTV equipment and related products for individuals, businesses and governments.
