Twenty-Pay Life Insurance Policy A life insurance policy in which the policyholder must pay premiums for 20 years. After 20 years have elapsed, the policyholder owes no more premiums even though the policy remains in effect. This reduces the policyholder's costs, especially as he/she ages.
