Truth-in-Advertising

Any law or regulation mandating fairness in marketing. Most of the time, truth-in-advertising requires a company not to lie about its products and to be able to support its claims with facts. Truth-in-advertising may only apply to certain services or products, such as pharmaceuticals, but laws vary by jurisdiction.
