The intentional disparagement of a property or a business. The statements must be false and must result in monetary loss in order to give rise to a cause of action.

trade libel Any party that violates the Unfair Competition provisions of the law may be held liable to pay the affected company for their pecuniary losses and any other harm resulted from the infringement.
This obviously has to be done very carefully, to avoid any counterclaims for defamation or trade libel.
