Timothy Geithner

Timothy Geithner
An American economist and civil servant. He worked in the U.S. Treasury Department for most of his early career. In 2003, he became president of the New York Federal Reserve. In 2009, he became the United States Secretary of the Treasury. In these capacities, he helped arrange the bailouts of the American financial and automotive industries. Geithner was born in 1961.

Echoing the plan advanced by President Obama, Secretary of the Treasury Timothy Geithner would add power to be the financial regulator for the entire nation to the Federal Reserve's already unconstitutional role of central banker.
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner announced today that former investment banker Steven Rattner will "transition back to private life and his family," stating that senior adviser, Ron Bloom, also a former investment banker, will assume leadership of the Task Force's activities.
