Tilted portfolio An indexing strategyy that is linked to active management through the emphasis of a particular industry sector, selected performance factors such as earnings momentum, dividend yield, price-earnings ratio, or selected economic factors such as interest rates and inflation. Tilted Portfolio A portfolio that combines aspects of active management and passive management. In general, a tilted portfolio tracks a particular index. However, a money manager may weight parts of the index more than others depending on interest rates, company performance, what industries are in favor, and other factors. See also: Closet Index Fund.
