Technically Strong Market
In technical analysis, a market that is rising on high volume or falling on low volume. Technical strength is important to determining a security's or market's momentum. Rising on high volume or falling on low volume means that it is likely that the security or market is on a bullish trend. See also: Technically weak market.

technically strong
Used to describe a security or the whole market when most technical indicators point toward a price rise. For example, a stock may be technically strong because it has twice attempted and failed to break through a support level.
