Technical Descriptors

    0.01 sec.
Technical descriptors
Variables that are used to describe the market in terms of patterns in historical data.

Technical Descriptors
Statistics used to determine trends in security prices, and make or recommend investment decisions based on those trends. In general, technical descriptors are available in chart patterns. Technical descriptors do not show the intrinsic value of securities, but instead focus on matters such as trade volume, demand, and volatility. Technical descriptors are useful for short-term trends almost exclusively, which is both a strength and a weakness in their analysis. See also: Technical Analysis.
