Tax Software

    0.01 sec.
Tax software
Computer software designed to assist taxpayers in filling out tax returns and minimizing tax liability.

Tax Software
Any of a number of computer programs purporting to help the user complete his/her own tax forms without the expense of hiring an accountant or the potentially expensive possibility of overlooking certain deductions and credits. Most of these programs explain basic tax information to the user, and some use a series of questions and answers to determine what deductions and credits most likely apply to the user. While tax software was originally bought and installed on one's personal computer, programs are increasingly available online.
