Tanzanian Shilling
The currency of Tanzania. It was introduced in 1966, replacing the East African shilling. It is one of the least valuable currencies in the world.

Currencies that actually strengthened against the rand because they were not hurt as much by the resurgent US dollar included the Zambia kwacha, Botswana pula, Namibia dollar, Nigerian naira and Kenyan and Tanzanian shillings.
But less noticed have been falls against currencies like the Bangladeshi taka (down 22% since June 2007), Tanzanian shilling (down 19%) and the Nigerian naira (down 17%).
