Suriname Guilder
The former currency of Suriname. Originally pegged to the Dutch guilder, it changed its peg to the U.S. dollar during World War II. It began to suffer from high inflation at the beginning of the 1990s and, because of this, the currency was discontinued and replaced with the Surinamese dollar in 2004.
