Subscription Period

Subscription Period
The time during which underwriters attempt to place a new issue with investors. During the subscription period, underwriters canvass potential investors, who may or may not book an order to buy a portion the new issue. No deals are final until the new issue is actually made at the end of the subscription period.

subscription period
The span of time during which a new issue of securities may be bought by investors. A subscription period will typically last a week or two, after which the rights to subscribe will expire at no value.
