Financial Aid Money granted (or sometimes loaned) in order to enable education. For example, a university may have a financial aid department providing scholarships, grants and other forms of aid to prospective students based upon need and achievement. Financial aid is intended to allow the very bright or those from less than ideal circumstances to continue their education. It may be offered at the primary, secondary or postsecondary levels. Continuing education programs may offer their own financial aid. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
